CPR Course: National Certification in Sunshine Coast


This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, until the arrival of a medical professional, or other assistance. This course is nationally recognised through inclusion on the National Training Information Service (NTIS). It is Work Cover approved in every state. This course is suitable for anyone requiring a first aid certificate for the workplace, recreational purposes, sporting, or home use.


Course duration
Three hours face to face training

Prerequisites
Participants must be over 14 years of age or with parental consent. There are no other pre-requisites or co-requisites for this unit of competency.

Award issued
On successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a Statement of Attainment. This course complies to the policy advice by the Australian Resuscitation Council.

Validity of the certification
As per the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, the HLTAID001 Provide CPR unit, is recommended to be completed every 12 months.

Assessment
Throughout the course participants must demonstrate ongoing competency during a series of practical skills, evaluation and written assessment.
